Causes
Make sure you are using a compatible device. Older devices use a previous version of Bluetooth and are not compatible with the most recent version. Computers with this older version cannot connect to devices that use newer Bluetooth.
Here is a list of devices that are supported:
- Apple iPad or iPhone: iOS 5 or later
- Android tablet or smartphone: Android 3.2 or later
- PC: Windows 8 or later
- Mac: Mac OS 10.11 or later
- Chrome OS
Ensure the device you are trying to type on is connected to the keyboard. Follow this checklist to connect:
- Make sure both devices are ON and charged
- Navigate to your device’s Bluetooth settings
- Press and hold either the “pc” or “i” button on the keyboard until the light blinks rapidly.
- In your device’s Bluetooth menu, locate the device named Logitech K480 or something similar. If you cannot see the keyboard, try pressing the other connection button.
- You may need to turn Bluetooth off and on again on either device for it to show up.
Additionally, you can try resetting the keyword using the following steps:
- Turn the keyboard on and off again
- Press the following keys: ESC +O, ESC + O, ESC + B. The Easy Switch lights will then blink continuously.
- Turn it off and on again
- The Easy Switch light will blink continuously again. Try pairing it again.
If none of the solutions listed above work, one of the following may be the solution instead.
- Make sure the device and keyboard are in close proximity to each other.
- Move away from other wireless signals or metal
- Wireless devices include: microwave, cordless phone, baby monitor, wireless speaker, WiFi router
- Computer power supplies
- Metal or metal wiring in the wall
- Check the batteries. If they are new, try removing them and inserting them again. Otherwise, refer to our battery replacement guide [here].
- Check that your operating system is up to date
