Causes
You could have the wrong drivers which can cause the keyboard/touchpad to not work. To reinstall the drivers follow the steps down below.
- Press the Windows key + X or in the search bar on the bottom left corner search and select Device Manager.
- Select Keyboard or trackpad devices (Depending on which one isn't working).
- Right-click and select Uninstall Device.
- Restart the laptop. This will reinstall the drivers.
If you reinstalled the drivers and it still didn't work then check to see if the laptop needs any driver updates.
- Go to https://support.lenovo.com.
- Select Detect Product > Drivers & Software > Scan Now (under Automatic Update).
1. Immediately unplug the AC adapter (if in use) and power off the laptop.
2. If it’s still not turning off, remove the battery.
3. Do not turn the laptop back on until certain that all the liquid is dry.
