Causes
Make sure you are using the OEM PSU. If not, be sure that the specifications match the OEM charger.
- Double check the cord for any damage or exposed wires.
- If possible, test the charger on a compatible device to ensure the charger is functional. As another option, a multimeter can test the charger if you don't have an extra device on hand.
The system may have froze on a black screen and is unresponsive. Sometimes it may just need a simple cold reboot.
- Disconnect all nonessential peripheral devices, such as printers, scanners, external hard drives, and USB flash drives.
- With the AC adapter disconnected press and hold the power button for approximately 15 seconds.
