My Problem

My Girlfriends' iPhone 5 loudspeaker was broken. Since she usually uses speakerphone when on the phone, that had to change!

My Fix

The repair went well, The biggest problem is how tiny those screws are. My fingers aren't what you'd call dainty...

My Advice

Get a good magnet mat. Maybe one that has small raised divisions (or make it yourself) keeping the screws straight was by far the hardest part. Plenty of light is also good. The spudger is a must, and patience...

My Problem

my i phoned needed a new battery.

My Fix

the replacement went good i really didnt have to worry about removing other stuff just the Back cover and Remove the Battery.

My Advice

Update you ifixit videos.

My Problem

Screen has lines running on it, tells me the connection of the display module has problem

My Fix

Perfect, iSlack is useful but still need help

My Advice

Its very tight for iSlack to open in first trial, you need to still use the suction cup a bit, but be careful not to be too 'excited' on the opening process, once it shows movement, switch back to iSlack to prevent killing your precious Touch ID

My Problem

My phone was having trouble charging. Had to hold cable "just right".

My Fix

Everything went well with the repair and my phone was fully functional afterwards. However the next day my touch ID stopped working and I haven't been able to figure out why. Not sure if it is related to the repair. Anyway, my phone now charges correctly.

My Advice

Take it slow. Make sure you have something to hold the screws and small parts with. I used a piece of packing tape attached to a paper plate.

My Problem

I fixed the home button speaker disclosure wifi antenna cellular antenna vibrator.

My Fix

Was pretty easy not to bad on time just not so steady hands Why I took awhile but got it done.

My Problem

Home button stuck.

My Fix

It was easy with your tools and video.

My Advice

Follow the video!

My Problem

El iPad no recarga ni es reconocido por iTunes.

My Fix

My Advice

Emplea las herramientas recomendadas para abrir el iPad. La esquina inferior derecha es la que ofrece más resistencia. Sigue los pasos de ifixit.

My Problem

I phone 5 power button became funky. Intermittent, phantom turn off, etc.

My Fix

The repair instructions were PERFECT. But be warned, you basically have to take 95% of the circuitry out of your phone to do this repair. My repair was 100% successful.

My Advice

To keep track of the screws, get 6 or so pill bottles and put the screws and the parts for each step into individual pill bottles. The screws appear to be all the same thread (thankfully) but are different lengths. Some vary by only 0.1 mm!

Have good light, a steady hand, and a pair of tweezers.

When putting the display connectors back together, take a small camel hair artists brush and brush the male and female contacts thoroughly to get the dust out. Spray with canned air. These connectors have to be spotless or you get about 4mm of color bars on the top of the screen with flakey touch screen performance.

Go slow, be patient, and don't sneeze! This repair takes some finesse and great care. No forcing things either apart or back together.

My Problem

Power button and volume Up stopped working. Figured I would repair phone and keep as a spare.

My Fix

The repair was a little more involved than I thought but interesting to see how it all goes together. Followed the instructions provided on the website. Tip: I used my gopro dash mount suction cup to remove the display.

My Advice

If you are comfortable working with computers or crafts you can do this task. For this particular swap it took me about an hour. Make sure you get the correct tools.

My Problem

Unreliable Lightning connector and faulty power button. Charged intermittently and power button failed to work at all.

My Fix

Watched some YouTube videos and got the parts required. Repaired both parts (which were very fragile) at the same time, it only took about 90 minutes. Very straightforward.

My Advice

The only thing I would do differently is catalogue the screws. It took a few tries to get the right ones each time.
