This teardown is not a repair guide. To repair your Ring Charging Station, use our service manual.

  1. Ring Charging Station Teardown, Unscrew case: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Remove the four rubber pads underneath, and use a PH00 screwdriver to remove the four screws

    • Use a pry tool at the upper edge opposite the side with the charging port. You can see here the small lip that must be disengaged.

    • Be careful not to damage the black light-guide film attached to the inner body and on the same edge as the lip.

    • Nothing on the reverse side, except the protruding base of the pogo-pins.

    • Orange (U3) - BQ25895 - TI 338 - AYLN - I2C 1cell 5A buck battery charger with high input voltage and 3.1-A boost with HVDCP enabled

    • Blue (U4) - BQ25895 - TI 338 - AYLN - I2C 1cell 5A buck battery charger with high input voltage and 3.1-A boost with HVDCP enabled

    • Yellow (U1) - Nuvoton WS51FB9AE - 504HBHA - 8051-based CMOS microcontroller, 16 K bytes flash, 1 K bytes SRAM, UART; I²C, SPI, GPIO, 12-bit ADC, Watchdog Timer, 16-bit PWM channel
