Introduction

In this guide we will walk you through taking apart the phone piece by piece, while giving tips and advice on how to take apart the phone and techniques.

This teardown is not a repair guide. To repair your Nokia N900, use our service manual.

  1. First flip the phone so the back is up.

  5. Now that all six screws have been taken out you can now pull the phone apart gently into two pieces

  8. Remove the qwerty key mat. It will come right off.

  13. Now on the back of the touchscreen half of the phone use the screw driver to take out all six screws.

  15. You should now have two pieces

  16. Now that you have removed the touch screen from the keyboard slider you can remove the cover of the screen by using the plastic blue opening tools.

    • I would advise taking one side off at a time

  17. Now the screen and one more cover will come right off and you have officially completed  tearing down the nokia n900

Looks like the LCD flex cable ripped off on this teardown, ouch!
