What you need

This teardown is not a repair guide. To repair your Benro V2 Ball Head, use our service manual.

    • Loose pan lock

    • Rotate the base, expose and remove all 4 (four) M3 screws

    • Separate the base

    • Optional, Heat up here

    • Rotate the pan locking knob all the way out, remove the nut. (My screw is broken)

    • The threads on that screw are M5 and M4

    • Remove the locking ring

    • Remove ball locking plates.

    • Remove the cover by rotating it counterclockwise. You might need something to grab it, and/or soften the thread-lock by heating. I drilled 2 holes.

    • Them remove damp limiter screw, using a coin or fingernail.

    • Remove the clip

    • Remove washers

    • Pull off the knob

    • And the friction scale.

    • Before removing the nut, you may want to remember its position.

    • Turn it counterclockwise.

    • Heat this nut to ~ 150C, and remove it

    • I forgot to take photo of that.

    • Just remove it

    • Remove the cap

    • unscrew

    • Pull and rotate to remove the knob

    • Then the ball is free. no photo here.
