Introduction

We are going to remove all lenses. Not any special tool required, lenses are kept in place by simple screw support.

This teardown is not a repair guide. To repair your Telescope, use our service manual.

  • Now we are going to remove the objective lens .

  • You can see a ring supporting the lens so turn it anticlockwise .

  • Avoid damage the lens while turning the ring.

Image 1/3: Once again just turn the plastic cap like screw and you will get one lens of eyepiece mechanism.(In the image you can also see the thumb screw which is used to lock inner tube position) Image 2/3: Now point the open end of inner tube downwards,you will see a plastic cylinder. Image 3/3: Now point the open end of inner tube downwards,you will see a plastic cylinder.
  • Lets focus on eyepiece part.

  • Once again just turn the plastic cap like screw and you will get one lens of eyepiece mechanism.(In the image you can also see the thumb screw which is used to lock inner tube position)

  • Now point the open end of inner tube downwards,you will see a plastic cylinder.

  • Now removing the cylinder you will get one more convex lens.
