Our team has four members: Maurice Mutonga, Nicky March, Chelsea Taylor, and Mohammed Almazeedy. We all currently attend Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Washington.

  • Maurice Mutonga (muu-toh-nger) is a senior, hoping to graduate this coming spring. He is majoring in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Math. He is originally from Kenya located in East Africa and moved to the U.S a few years ago. He has good writing skills and is knowledgeable in scientific and mathematical areas of study. He has visited manufacturing companies through the IEEE program and gained knowledge on how various components of electronics are manufactured. He also worked at Lowe’s, which really encourages and teaches a lot of DIY projects. He is comfortable using almost all tools from being a handyman at his house and working on cars over the summer, including taking out and replacing an engine.
  • Nicky March is a junior in the Visual Communication and Design program going for a minor in Business. She is originally is from Spokane, Washington and hopes to move to Northern California to be an in-house designer after graduation. She doesn't have a wide variety of experience fixing electronics but has exceptional writing skills and a good eye for making design accessible and efficient.
  • Mohammed Almazeedy is majoring in Electrical Engineering. He is originally from Saudi Arabia. He moved to the United States in 2015. He is expected to graduate Spring Quarter of 2019. Eastern is the second university he has attended and it was here that he learned English. He is excellent at and loves programming and has taken six core courses on it . He is looking forward to learning more about technology and electronics.
  • Chelsea Taylor is majoring in Visual Communication and Design and Studio Art with a focus in painting. She is a self-taught story artist and completed six months of independent study on the subject, and has begun collaborating on a children's television show pitch with a film student at EWU. She is driven, eager to collaborate, and sometimes a perfectionist. Public speaking is absolutely not her strong suit, but give her a pencil and some paper and she can draw or design anything. Her mantra is: explore, learn, create.
