My Problem

Hi guys, my beautiful macbook pro (early 2011) went blank one day. I would say part of my fault, because went I heard the fans going nuts, I should have acted right away. I did wait too long as result the GPU failed, so I had no other way than swapping the logic board.

My Fix

Well, I am extremely happy. I got my parts in three days, and I live in europe now. I swapped the logic board, put some thermal paste a new fan and the magic is done. My macbook pro is up and running and also I have no more issue with the fans running like crazy, indeed Apple did the worst job on placing that thermal paste. Anyway I am happy at the end.

My Advice

Yes, guys the step are simple and you need just some time be relaxed and check the connection of you screen twice before you even turn the computer back on.

Did you replaced your Macbook Pro 2011 Logic Board with a 2012 one?

Are your Mac still working after these 2.5 years?
