iPhone 4 Speaker Enclosure Replacement

Difficult

My Problem

Bottom Speaker started out just having a little bit of static, but then all but quit, when the phone rang it drove me crazy

My Fix

Repair went well, no problems what so ever. The iFixit instructions are invaluable.

My Advice

Rule #1 good eyesight & lighting. I'm 52 and struggle with seeing some of the small iPhone components. Some of the screws you can barely feel with your fingers.

Rule #2 like many have said on this site, anytime you remove a part or screw... have a bowl or container handy and mark the bowl with whatever step# you just removed it from. PS: don't use a flowered bottom bowl, you'll never find the screws.

Rule #3 take your time, other than replacing the rear (iPhone 4) panel, any other repair I've done will take several hours from start - finish.
