My Problem
iPhone 4 battery would not charge. After replacing the battery the phone worked but still would not charge. So I took the risk of replacing the dock connector before buying a new phone.
My Fix
I carefully followed the instructions, which took about a hour. The magnetic mat was invaluable in keeping the different sized screws organized. In the end it all went back together and the phone works like new! Saved a few hundred $$ :)
My Advice
Not a piece of cake - just go slowly and be careful.
