My Problem
My friend needed his laptop asap for a gig. Decided to start with the cheapest part first.
My Fix
Repair didn't go as plan. i suspected it needed more parts than just the inverter board. unfortunately replacement the inverter didn't fix the issue.
My Advice
80% of the time first generation MacBook pro 15 Core2Duos usually require a display replacement when there is no backlight.
