MacBook Battery Replacement a Breeze

My Problem

The battery in my late 2011 unibody MacBook Pro was failing.

My Fix

The repair went great. I watched the video on the ifixit site and ordered all the suggested tools and the battery. When it all arrived, I jumped right in. The video was so well done that I didn't even need to revisit it. If I had not followed your directions, I never would have ordered the Spudger or Tri-wing screwdriver, which it turns out, were fairly essential.

My Advice

Fix it if you can. A battery in a laptop is a pretty non-threatening repair and a good time to clean out the vents and inside of your laptop shell.
