My Problem
I have an iMac thats about 6 years old and it needed a little boost. It only came with 1GB or memory and that just wasn't cutting it anymore with some of the larger, faster applications out today. With a quick look at my machines serial number, iFixit had the exact parts and guides I needed to give my computer the kick it needed (2x2GB RAM). Now I'm opening programs and flying through tabs and screens with ease! Thanks iFixit!
My Fix
I got my parts faster than I anticipated and the repair was a sweet breeze! with only one small philips panel screw on the underside of the monitor with a few faint picture instructions next to it, it wasn't exactly brain surgery. But it all went smoothly regardless! Popped one RAM chip out, stuck 2 brand new ones in easy as pie.
My Advice
If you can't seem to figure it out on your own, the iFixit website has all the explanation one would need to get you through this repair/upgrade.
