My Problem

After replacing my macbook pro hard drive with an ssd one my airport/bluetooth failed on my computer. Probably because I broke something internally when I took it apart in the first place. No amount of software changes or restarts fixed it.

My Fix

Easy as.

I bought each component - helps that fixit supply them all - to remove any possibility of failure (cable, bracket, chip) and to reduce the number of times I had to do this.

Worked immediately after I'd replaced all the parts and I've had no problems since.

My Advice

Be careful when swapping SSDs and trying to remove optical drives. My mistake was in trying to remove the optical drive I was over zealous and probably broke some part of the wifi then.

Doingthe actual wifi repair was simple. Just be careful with pulling back the EMi tape and re-taping it back on.
