Noisy left fan

My Problem

Left fan was noisy enough to be heard from the next room.

My Fix

First try was on the previous weekend -- I used the guide to take out the noisy fan, disassembled it, cleaned it, and applied some lube. Put everything back together, fired it up, and there was blessed silence.

For ten minutes.

Ten minutes after that, I'd placed my order for a replacement fan.

My Advice

You can swivel the AirPort card and speaker assembly out of the way -- you don't have to disconnect and remove them.
