The PooPad Quandrum

My Problem

Was a simple crack on a corner that the customer wanted replaced. Apparently when you are using the "bathroom" and wanting to read. At a certain moment you should put down the iPad and concentrate on what you are doing rather than sitting it on the side of a bathtub with marble tiled floors. (What could go wrong?)

My Fix

The process went perfect. Easy to follow instructions made it work like a charm. A quick tip on how I replace the screens. The iFixit Tube socks work great when you heat them up and place on the corners. Problem is sometimes I get interrupted and do not have time to finish. We have a toaster oven set at 175 degrees. We place the device in and set a timer for 10-? minutes. Timer goes off and the whole unit is warm and ready for removal. I've cracked far less screens in the removal this way (or made the cracks worse).

My Advice

Be careful on the digitizer ribbon. The new design is then and shaped in a way that makes it a bit confusing. The pictures in the manual for display replacement were a saving grace!
