MacBook Pro - found in Campus Garbage

My Problem

Was given a MBP laptop that was thrown in garbage because of liquid damage. A little research online suggested the symptoms matched a bad hard drive cable (and drive mount, sleep light, etc.)

My Fix

Followed your guide and had new cable installed within minutes. Computer booted right up as was hoped for. Ended up with a serviceable computer for ~ $60.

My Advice

When it comes to taking apart Apple Notebook computers, the iFixIt guides have worked for me many times. Have also purchased specialty tools and parts from iFixIt.
