My Problem
My mom decided that a frozen bottle of water and an iPhone would make great gym bag companions. It was going to be cheaper to replace the screen myself than to buy a whole new phone.
My Fix
After an alcohol bath and a few days of drying out, the phone powered on and could receive calls but the screen was shot and only lit up.
Ordered a new screen and after 10 minutes of installation (I've done this before) the phone was almost good as new.
My Advice
Don't screw anything in until you see the screen turn on. The home button won't function until the screen and digitizer are seated back into place.
