My Problem

My battery was throwing warnings and would last maybe 60 minutes on a good day.

My Fix

The repair went well. I only used the tools that came with the kit and they were great.

My Advice

Like many others, I chose not to disassemble the entire laptop. I removed the case, unplugged the battery, tilted it up, and ran the adhesive remover down under the batteries several times before prying them out. It was much simpler. I didn't have much luck using string, but the prying tools worked just fine.

I did have to spend close on 30 minutes cleaning off the old adhesive. Mine was especially sticky, even when compared to others I saw in videos.

I also accidentally removed the cover for the trackpad (the adhesive remover did its work there as well). I don't see this being covered in the official guide, but I'd imagine that the same problem would exist.
