Screen repair was easier than expected

My Problem

iPhone 8 plus screen was in very bad shape and in need of repair.

My Fix

Repair was as expected. Screws were small and care had to be taken not to mix them up. Make sure to have a hot air source available to loosen the glue.

My Advice

The home button removal from the old screen goes much easier if you heat it too. One of the screws is glued and will strip if you don't heat it.

Don't expect the new screen to look like the old one. The colors simply aren't as bright or crisp.
