I did not take my logic board or any other components out. I feel that as long as you are careful, this is a perfectly fine approach.

Like the video, I used some thread to get each cell started a bit, but once I got one out - I just worked out from the cell that I lifted first and carefully went at them with the plastic cards.

It took many rounds of lightly applied adhesive remover to get all the stickiness out of the battery area before installing the new one.

New battery is excellent.
