How to replace the battery in your iPhone 5s

Moderate

My Problem

My battery was acting up and it was time to replace it.

My Fix

I followed the steps to replace the battery, but I ended up with a home button, a microphone, speakers, sound buttons that stopped working. I might have messed up when I put just a little too much force in taking out the battery. There was one adhesive strip that did not come out and I had to use a slightly bulky card to get it out. I also had help from the Sun where I propped the part of the iPhone with the battery and the adhesive towards it and it softened up the adhesive. From taking it apart several times to see if there was any cut wires or bad connections, there was nothing that I could see that could have caused everything else to breakdown; everything was where it was suppose to be.

My Advice

When you come to the adhesive part of taking out the battery, I would suggest to warm it up the back side of it how ever you see fit to do it.
