My Problem
My aged MBA was losing battery power very quickly.
My Fix
I was able to easily order the correct materials using their links in the directions. The repair went exactly as it showed in the directions. It was extremely simple and straightforward using their descriptions and pictures. The difficulty and time-frame indicators were spot-on. All-in-all it was extremely well laid out.
My Advice
My enlightenment moment came after I had attempted to fix my computer myself and it didn't work. I was disappointed, especially because I had read how easy it was and how everyone had success. I contacted the folks at iFixit and they were immediately available and extremely helpful. It turns out that it stated in the description of the new battery that it might not be compatible with some Macs (turns out mine was one of them). However, without ANY questioning or difficulties, the iFixit team immediately tendered me a refund for the full amount, including shipping and handling. I cannot begin to tell you how appreciative I am for their service. It gives me a confidence to do more myself and recommend their company to anyone who wants to attempt repairs. Thank you iFixit team!!
