My Problem
My girlfriend noticed that her LG G5's rear button wasn't working when she tried to take screen shots, wake it up from sleep, or turn it off. Having previously replaced the headphone jack in my G5, I logged onto ifixit and ordered the button.
My Fix
The G5 is a breeze to fix and the provided guides ensure that you won't screw up during any part of the process. The most nerve racking part of the repair is removing the screen assembly, but with thw proper tools and a little patience, it isn't very difficult.
I heated the metal cover that held the button in place and used tweezers to disconnect the old button and insert the new one. After double checking my work, I sealed up the phone and it worked perfectly.

Keep your parts organized! Do not be afraid to seek help during a repair.
