One among many waiting until now.

My Problem

My son's iphone battery died amd wouldn't charge at all. We went to our Mac store amd told we had a bad battery. We were told it would take 6-8 weeks to get one in and an hour to fix once it came in. Two and a half weeks later I thought I'd stop in to check if maybe it had shipped early. To my surprise it hadn't even been ordered. I was told they have about 600 batteries to replace and only one guy who can do the repair. I search and found ifix.com and placed my order. Received my kit within a couple days.

My Fix

While I personally didn't do the repair, because my dad is an IT guy. I watched him work. It seem pretty straight forward and not much of a struggle. He did it with 4 children running around and chatting with me at the same time. Plus, he took a coffee and potty break and the whole process took between 30-40 mins. He had never changed one before and beat the guy who does it for a living.

My Advice

I can't tell you what would make it easier except keep track of the little pieces.
