My Problem
These devices are used for K-2 grades at school and without sound they are useless.
My Fix
I have 4 iPads with audio jack broken off inside; 1 came out clean and the other 3 are still stuck.
One of four was repaired, expensive little piece of tin but it worked, on one which saved buying a new device.
My Advice
Do not try other 'methods' of removal prior to using this tool and you may be more successful.
