Macbook Pro Retina Battery Replacement DIY, saved $140.

My Problem

My wife has had her Macbook for a long while now and as with all batteries, over time, it has lost some of it's capacity. I trusted iFixit's kit and community of experts, along with repair guides to replace the battery myself.

My Fix

Following the guide to a T, I was able to get everything taken out and replaced in under an hour. The hard part was reassembly.

My Advice

When you disassemble your computer, have a small bright-colored tray, ideally with separators (I personally used a lid for a vegetable snack container) to contain parts and keep note of where each set of screws came from.
