My Problem
Cracked screen
My Fix
I finished the job, but not without problems.
1. I had trouble removing screen. I eventual got it loose by heating the front edge and using a very thin metal blade to get a gap.
2. Removing some connectors was hard. One connector that instructions said to remove with pointed end of tool would not budge. I had to use the flat edge prying along a different part to get it.
3. Replacing the adhesive was very difficult.
4. Closing up was a problem. Getting the top slotted in without messing up adhesive was tricky. Then getting the front screws in caused me a real headache. I had to crack the case open two times to readjust the little post that the screws fit into.
My Advice
Need better instructions of what to do when things don't go right. Need specific instructions on reassembly. It is not just follow disassembly instructions in reverse order. Needs discussion about getting the front screw posts set properly prior to closing up.
