My Problem
My old iPod battery had given up the ghost and wouldn’t hold a charge. I took the unit along with a new battery in the wife’s favorite iPod or iPhone repair store and they agreed to change out for just labor only. My old iPod classic works great now!

My Advice
I decided not to try to tackle opening up my iPod as I as because of a stroke I only have one and that useful.
