My Problem
The battery life for the phone was getting short so that I had to limit activities to keep the battery charged enough to last the whole day. Seeing that the new battery was inexpensive and came with a complete kit of tools seem very encouraging.
My Fix
Overall, the repair went very smoothly and everything worked out fine. The one Suggestion I might make is that the screwdriver tools get a bit of an upgrade. The screws to the battery connector are very small, and the screwdriver bits were crude and did not engage the tiny screws very well. In addition there’s a small grounding spring that attaches to one of the screws on the battery connector. It was a challenge to get that back in position when I assembled the phone with the new battery. I managed to do it, and the tweezers that came with the kit were a big help.
My Advice
How about a magnifying glass in the tool kit? That would’ve helped a lot.
Could have used a detailed drawing of how the grounding spring fits into the battery connector.
