Once I got it open.... it was fast and easy.

My Problem

The battery died on my iPod and need to be replaced.

My Fix

It went well. Didn't damage the unit. Got the battery replaced and it's charging and operating so far so good.

My Advice

The trick for me was a Swiss army knife after I watched YouTube and someone used Exacto knives instead of the plastic tools provided. I didn't have Exacto knives handy at my current location, but opted for the Swiss army knife instead and it worked. Another critical tool I used was a pair of tweezers instead of the plastic pencil looking tool.
