First-Timer for DIY iMac upgrade

My Problem

The price of adding more SSD storage and memory via Apple Store is extremely costly.

My Fix

It is definitely a moderate to difficult task in performing this upgrade but it was well worth it! Interested parties should also read advise about how to deal with slow boot-ups if they also upgrade the SSD at the same time.

My Advice

Patience is the key to a successful upgrade. Also remember not to be alarm on the first power-up as it takes longer than usual due to the capacitors in the power board that is being charged up. Follow the guides religiously and you wouldn't go wrong!
