My Problem
The replacement screen I bought from iFixit died after 6 months, so had to get another.
My Fix
Repair was straightforward, and the guide on the site was enormously helpful.
My Advice
When you get to the screws at the corner of the outer case that hold the screen & digitizer in place the cross-head screwdriver in the supplied tool kit was a little too fine. It wasn't able to properly undo one of the 4 screws and I was concerned that it might strip it, so I pulled out a very slightly larger mini cross-head screwdriver and that did the trick. Otherwise, top notch tools and guidance.
