My Problem
I replaced a regular HDD with an SSD.
My Fix
It went well for the most part. The pizza cutter tool didn't go quite deep enough to sever all of the adhesive. So I had to use a pick to go a little deeper. Not a big deal. My main issue was that the protective film on the adhesive strips weren't aligned properly. The strips were all stuck together in the package, and when I separated them it took one of the protective films right off. This also made them a little trickier to put on the bezel. For $20 I would expect them to be absolutely perfect.
My Advice
Lower the price of the strips or make sure the protective films are perfectly straight. The reason i laid down 20 bucks was so I wouldn't have to fiddle with the adhesive and could just lay it right on. Unfortunately I still have to do some unnecessary fiddling that could've been avoided if a little more precision was used in manufacturing.
