My Problem
The display was starting to develop lines on it and fail. To prevent it from failing when it is needed, such as the night before an exam, I replaced my sister’s display as a birthday gift.
My Fix
It was easy as expected. I have used ifixit guides in the past.
My Advice
While removing the final screws on the underside of the left hinge, take notice of the cable bracket that the hinge screws also hold down. Took me an extra minute or two because I forgot about it during reassembly and had to figure it out after the fact.
