My Problem

The problem I had was my Macbook Pro 15" mid 2012 model lost the black rubber feet from the lower case. I went to apple and their solution was to sell me a complete lower case replacement for $199.99. REALLY!!!! ALL I NEEDED WAS FOUR BLACK 1" RUBBER DISKS.

My Fix

I contacted Fixit via the internet and purchased four black rubber feet which were direct replacement parts for my MAC. Total cost including shipping less than $10.00. No Joke! They were shipped next day and I got them in a week. No problem installing them. I removed the lower case, . I then removed some of the fragments that were inside the casing. I installed the feet, replaced the casing. 10 mins tops.

My Advice

For apple components and assistance selecting the proper part. contact FIXIT!

Be careful when you remove the plastic feet from their plastic shipping packaging, the tiny two sided adhesive tape tends to lift off the feet. Gently replace them with a tooth pick or similar instrument onto the feet before application to the casing.
