My Problem
We deploy a lot of iPhones and 90% of the time, the only thing I get complaints about is battery life. So replacing batteries in house, instead of purchasing new devices at 4x the cost of the battery, was a logical decision.
My Fix
With the repair guide, the replacements went pretty well. Pray your adhesive strips come out like they do in the video. Kinda sucks when they break but the iOpener is nice tool to have to loosen the bond. Also when you have a quiet environment where the noise of heat gun or hair dryer is frowned upon, the iOpener is worth the cost.
My Advice
Use the correct tools and DON'T use any sharp metal objects to remove the battery if the strips break. If those strips break upon removal of the battery, just be patient with the procedure to get the battery out.
