Macbook Pro 13" Late 2013 Battery Replacement

My Problem

My laptop got pretty much soaked on the plane from an exploded water bottle. I took it into the shop, thinking it was completely dead. They told me it most likely just needed a battery replacement, and I didn't want to pay them to do it, so I did it myself!

My Fix

Great. All the steps of the guide were clear and accurate. The hardest part of the repair was unsticking the battery from the base. But everything went well and my laptop is as good as new!

My Advice

I love the feeling of being able to fix something without anyone's help. My advice? Don't give up on your stuff! Try to fix it before throwing it away or paying someone else to do it! The internet is a wonderful place FULL of helpful instructions. Use it.

Advice for this particular guide: Label some sticky notes with the screw sizes, and when you remove the screws from the laptop, push them into their sticky note. It keeps things very organized. (Inspired by a comment from another user.)
