My Problem

4g iPOD battery died. Apparantly a common problem. This one was a refurb from Tiger Direct. Never could bring myself to through it out, just seems wasteful to me.

My Fix

The step by step guide is right-on, make certain you are looking at the right guide for your iPOD.

My Advice

The hardest part of the process was step two, opening the case. The blade of the large blue tool broke-off. After reading notes from other users someone recommended using a razor blade. I used one of those Stanley razor knives so I had a handle to grip the razor.

This worked far better than the blue tools, but be careful that you do not either damage the iPOD or yourself.

The Torq screws are TINY, make certain you have a clean and clear work surface just in case you drop them.
