Replacement of My Mid 2014 Retina Display

My Problem

I attempted to close the lid of the computer with a iPhone charging cable between the screen and the base. This cracked the Screen and caused a weird blue light flicker that made it impossible to use to the Laptop.

My Fix

All of tear down went extremely well, although I did buy the Ifixit magnetic pad to keep track of all the little screws. The install required a fine set of motor skills to reattach the WiFi cables, which took me the longest part of this repair.

My Advice

I suggest buying the IFIXIT Magnetic Pad with this if you don't already have one. I didn't waste time looking of screws or figuring out what screw went back in which hole. I believe this made a Huge difference on Repair time. Secondly, I Couldn't happier with the results, my screen looks a clear as it did when I brought it home from the apple store.
