My Problem
Battery started to behave random, and no recall from Apple, also because I totally enjoy fixing
My Fix
Smooth until the adhesive it almost became a failure, used dental floss to finish the job
My Advice
The guide doesn't stress the way you should be tearing the adhesive strip properly: flat, and towards the speaker on the right, and towards the 3.5 jack on the left, then move up as the strip looks (and feels) thinner and resists the tearing
Also remember to purchase the adhesive strips, the tools guide doesn't name them
