Would not run on battery for more than 5 minutes even though it read fully charged

Perfectly. No issues at all. Instructions are perfect and the part was exactly what I needed.
My Advice
I think ifixit is a fantastic site/service. The guides are amazing and very helpful - read through them before you order to be sure you are comfortable with the process. And after reading them I bet you will be.
