My Problem
My son decided to throw my ipad when I asked him for it back, I watched as it landed flat and thought good job i bought that case for it, no joy it had shattered.
My Fix
very nice, had a problem on completion, the screen flashed and the home button didn't work, went back through and checked all connections.
as the screen had shattered its a nightmare getting all the glass out from the corners,i used a scalpel very carefully to get it all removed, be very careful a small slip and you will damage the LCD!
My Advice
a quick check through the problems page bought up the answer straight away, when I removed the adhesive covering tape on the digitiser the tape over the home button and cables came away.
after a brief check and replacing the tape all was well.
