A few months ago my MacBook stopped recognizing my wireless card

My Advice

If something on your machine stops working, don't believe that it has to be that way! I waited for four months after my wireless card stopped working because I wasn't sure what the cause was and didn't want to pay a premium repair fee at the Apple Store (I was getting by with a wireless adapter, which works but is unwieldy for a mobile computer). I finally got fed up enough to troubleshoot, buy a part on iFixit, then follow the repair instructions. I received the part within two days of ordering it, and ten minutes later my laptop Airport card was working like new.
