My Problem
the battery would not hold a charge
My Fix
Unfortunately not well. I was doing the repair for a relative and was told the phone was an iPhone 4s. So I ordered the 4s battery. When I opened up the phone it was obvious the battery was different in the phone than the 4s battery I had ordered. After some scrutiny I realized the phone was an earlier model, an iPhone 4. The batterie/cable is similar but will not interchange. This was not an issue with IFIXIT. Their delivery was prompt and instructions were accurate.
My Advice
Yes, make sure you know which phone model you are working on.lol
