My Problem

Dog was worn out. Needed a heart valve job. Sent a team of trained ticks in through her nose with the toolkit. She is good to go!

My Fix

It was doggone tricky, but with the help of the Micro Tech Tools, and some trained ticks, I succeeded.

My Advice

Instead of tossing those ticks in the toilet, keep 'em in a tick jail. Fill it with rubbing alcohol: that makes them very cooperative and anxious to get early parole in exchange for doing any micro repairs needed around the house.

This doesn't make any sense...

I had no idea ticks were good for anything but possum food. Thanks for the tip!

This was meant as an April Fools entry, which I think was a “thing” on iFixit at some point. It is not meant to be taken seriously.

I’m afraid old Trixie finally died, she almost made it to 16 years, which is pretty good for a 45 lb dog.

I can recommend having a tick kit though, with Alchohol, Bacitracin-type ointment, and a variety of Tick pulling tools. For a long time the Tick-Key was my go-to tool, but I’ve found a new kind that looks like a micro-mini-crowbar, that seems to be even better.
