I replaced my hard drive cable(again).

My Problem

My was computer was running slowly, and was slow to boot. I had problems previously that were fixed with a new SATA cable. I tried a few hard drives that I knew to be working to make sure. The problem was getting progressively worse.. my computer would sometimes not boot at all, and just give a box with a question mark.

My Fix

I don't remember replacing the bracket last time, but it was simple enough. I was glad for not needing an obscure screwdriver. My computer is now fully functional.

My Advice

I just hope these cables don't get discontinued. These cables supposedly have a lifetime warranty from iFixit, but this cable I just replaced is one I also got from iFixit two years ago. Oh well, $40 is definitely worth it to get two or three more years out of a computer.
