Front screen was shattered
My Fix
Repair went mostly well. Touch ID was buggered afterwards.
My Advice
When removing the Touch ID parts from the old screen, be really really careful. And pray. I think I was a shade rough, or didn't get the spudger flat enough when digging under the adhesive and I must have somehow damaged the component when removing from the old screen.
This repair kit is awesome though. I've repaired iPad screens before with a hairdryer and without the proper tools, which is painful. The iOpener and all the little picks that are sent with this kit are AMAZING and make the repair job so much easier. Gone are my days of improvising like McGyver! iFixit kits are the only way to go!!
